Why does the transfer speed of USB is very slow under DOS mode.

When you log in to the system and create new account; then you shut down the system, you will see the below message: Windows is configuring updates, but your NB is not connected to the internet, thus the screen will not respond for 5 minutes; followed by system shut down.Lastly, when you restart the system, you will see the same message, and the screen will not respond for about 5 10 minutes before entering the O.S. Note: This problem will keep on occurring even when restarts are made.

This problem maybe is caused by hotfix KB930857. To resolve this problem, kingly follow below procedures:

The harddisk would not be recognized when install Windows XP. How can I install Windows XP on NB.

Please follow below steps to disable AHCI mode before you install Windows XP. 1. Power on NB and press DEL key when prompted with Press DEL key to run Setup message during boot up. This will lead you to BIOS Setup Utility. 2. Move cursor to Advanced tab and change AHCI mode to Disabled. 3. Press function key F10 to exit and save changes. NB will reboot again. 4. Now you can install Windows XP.

The problem is that after you log in and create a user account, if you shut the computer down, you see the screen Windows is configuration updates. . However, the notebook is not connected to the internet, so no updates have been downloaded. The notebook freezes on this screen for about 5 minutes and then it shuts down. Once it shuts down and you start it up again, you will again see the Windows is Configuration updates. , the screen lasts between 5-10 minutes and then it loads Windows. No matter how many times you reboot, you always see this message.

This problem is due to the Windows update KB930857. Solution:

1. Temporarily solution is removing the Windows Hotfix KB930857.

2. Connect the notebook to the Internet download and install all the Windows updates available.

Whenever I plugged in SanDisk Ultra II 2G SD card, system will reboot itself and bluescreen BSOD will occur. If fortunate, sometimes only an error message will come out. However, I have also tried using Sandisk extreme III 2G SD card, and to my surprise -it works just fine. The O2Micro card reader driver that I am using right now is version 3.00.

Please update O2Micro Card Reader driver to version 3.09 or newer from our MSI website to fix this issue.

Enabling AHCI mode in a system BIOS with Windows Vista already installed will cause a 0x7B INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE Blue Screen of Death STOP error or system reboot if SATA has been running in IDE mode during Vista s installation.

This issue occurs if the AHCI driver Msahci.sys in Windows Vista is disabled. The AHCI driver must be enabled first Windows environment before enabling AHCI mode in the bios. To do this, please follow the given procedure step-by- step:

1 Go to your BIOS and disable AHCI mode.

2 Under Windows Vista environment, go to HKLM SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services msahci.

3 Edit the Start key and change its value to 0.

4 Then reboot the system, go to your BIOS and enable AHCI mode. Save and Exit. Upon the next boot up, Vista will detect the change, install the driver and might ask for a reboot.

Windows 10 Keyboard not working properly after installing windows 10.

After having installed windows 10 on my laptop. Some of the keys are not working.

Some of the alphabet keys are working and the ones that have multi functions only work as alphabet keys.

Please remove old touchpad driver, and use Windows update to detect latest touchpad driver.

Here is how to find the settings.

Windows control panel:

1. Right click on Windows Start logo, click on Control Panel Programs Uninstall a program, remove Pointing Device Driver or any touchpad driver.

2. Windows Update:

Click on Windows Start logo, click Settings Windows update Check for updates.

Under AC mode, USB port always has power even if system shut down.

Why does USB port always has power, and my external USB device LED is always ON, unless I unplug the AC power cord.

Because in BIOS default, Wake on LAN under AC mode is ON, this feature needs continuous power from system, and USB port power sync with Wake on LAN feature, therefore the USB port power is always ON.
