Good day dear AVR Freaks

I need some help to start usings numeric LCD s. I m working vir the ATMEGA16 and always used 7segment LED displays for displaying numbers. Now I want to start using LCD s instead. For my current project I only need to display numbers from 001 to 100.

So I discovered this LCD that looks just fine:

Unfortunately I experience some trouble in understanding the way that LCD s needs to be driven. I have reed some articles on this, but I just don t get it clear.

Maybe a few of you were also once a long time ago struggling to get started with LCD s and maybe you can just send me in a direction, since I don t know actually where to begin and find good articles on this.
